Our new category Africa off the Beaten Track is now open! We’ll soon be announcing our winner of the Wildlife Portraits category and you can read our interview with them on our blog as well. The winners of our categories each win a pair of Swarovski binoculars to use on their next trip to Africa. Enter Africa’s Photographer of the Year now before the end of the year to stand a chance to win our grand prize, a nine-night stay at three respective luxury safari lodges. Read below to view some of the first entries into our new category – this time featuring the theme of breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.

Have a look at our property spotlights to discover the sophisticated lodges that are featured in our grand prize. Our four categories each produce a winner (selected by our judges) that is entered into the draw for the final prize. All the winners are then judged side-by-side by you, our readers to be crowned our winner of the entire competition. Not only does the winner go on safari, but they also sit down with us to give you their best photography tips to inspire you for next year’s competition.
